Delivery & Shipping Policy

Mulch and Stuff by Smart Choice provides local delivery of bulk landscaping materials, aggregates, sand, dirt, and bagged products throughout Volusia and Flagler Counties. All deliveries are performed using our dump trailers or delivery vehicles and follow local safety regulations and property-access rules.

Delivery Minimums & Fees

  • Bulk Materials (Mulch, Rock, Sand, Dirt): A minimum of 3 cubic yards is required for delivery.
  • Standard Local Delivery: Delivery fees start at $70 for addresses within approximately 10 driving miles of our Ormond Beach Storage Depot.
  • Additional fees apply for:
    • Deliveries beyond the base radius
    • Orders under 3 cubic yards
    • Large-volume deliveries requiring multiple trips

Customer Responsibilities

  • Customer must provide a suitable, safe, and legal delivery location.
  • Customer is responsible for reporting any local road restrictions, bans, or access limitations.
  • Only one delivery location is permitted per order.

Delivery Vehicle Restrictions

Mulch and Stuff by Smart Choice delivery vehicles are restricted to public roadways and may not travel across sidewalks, curbs, or into public right-of-way areas. Materials will be placed at the edge of the accessible traveled portion of the street unless an approved private hard-surface driveway is provided.

If a customer requests that our driver move beyond the curb line and onto private property, Mulch and Stuff by Smart Choice assumes no responsibility for any property damage. This includes but is not limited to: driveways, pavers, sidewalks, irrigation, fences, utilities, and landscaping features.

If a vehicle becomes stuck while accessing customer-directed areas of the property, a $650 towing fee will be charged to the customer.

Property Release Damage Waiver

Customers requesting off-road placement, driveway entry, or any maneuvering beyond standard curbside delivery must sign a Property Release Damage Waiver prior to truck dispatch. This form releases Mulch and Stuff by Smart Choice from liability for any damage arising from the customer’s delivery placement request.

Delivery Scheduling

Delivery dates and times are approximate and based on routing, weather, traffic, and material availability. While we make every effort to meet requested delivery windows, delays may occur. Mulch and Stuff by Smart Choice is not responsible for costs associated with delays beyond our control.

Excessive Delays on Site

Deliveries requiring more than 10 minutes on site may incur additional delay charges at a rate of $120 per hour.

Re-Delivery Fees

If materials cannot be delivered due to site inaccessibility, unsafe conditions, or lack of customer preparation, a re-delivery fee will apply.
